1. What is an inner class ? Explain with an example.
2. What is dynamic method dispatch ? Explain with an example.
3. Can a class be prevented from being inherited ? If so justify your answer.
4. What is an interface ? Explain with an example how interfaces can be extended.
5. Define the following (i) Event  (ii) Event Source   (iii) Event Listener.
6. Explain the methods supported by frame class.
7. Write the syntax of different constructors supported by checkbox.
8. What is a swing ? Write any three classes defined by swing.
9. What is Java bean ? Write any two advantages of java beans.
10. Explain how Border Layout can be used to arrange controls in a window.

SECTION - B

Answer any four of the following questions. Each question carries 14 marks.     (4x14=56)

11. a) Explain the features of java.
      b) Explain CharAt(), getChars(and substring() with examples.
12. a) Explain the use of super with examples.
      b) Write a program to accept a line of text and to count how many times a particular word has appered in the text ?
